Sunrise on Bourbon St from Balcony of the Royal Sonesta

Sunrise over Bourbon Street. This was painted after a workshop in which we had a little refresher course about perspective. So I looked through my photos for the one with the most difficult perspective that I could find. I drew this with Nupastels and Rembrandts (the softest pastels I had at that time!) on a piece of handmade pastel paper from the workshop.
