Communion

I started a series of pastels during the pandemic from my photos of favorite rivers, since I wasn't able to feed my soul by travelling to them in person. I had just discovered Pastelmat and invested in handrolled Richeson pastels. Love, love! This is a friend from Baton Rouge communing with the river. and depicts my favorite way to travel down the Au Sable river in Michigan, in a large tube with a smaller tube as a backrest, and a frisbee paddle.
