Peters Canyon Sunset

For several years I have enjoyed walking along the flood channel of Peters Canyon in Orange County, California. I typically would walk in the morning, but once in a while I would go in the evening. I loved the bands of color in the sky ahead of me as the sun slowly sank to the edge of the trees. Consequently, I wanted to capture the vibrant colors contrasted with the dark foliage along the path. I used Mungyo soft pastels, Art Spectrum pastels, and Faber Castell on Uart paper.
