Schnoodle

I had never seen a schnoodle ( schnauzer/poodle mix) until I was asked to paint a portrait of a dog named.... Schnoodle. The reference photo had been taken with him on an orange and black patterned rug. At close range his face was prominent but the rest of his body was obscured. It was tricky for me as I usually take my own photos and the pose is head and chest. The painting is on UArt 400. These dogs are adorable and come in unbelievable color combinations. I loved how the painting was different due to the viewpoint.
