This a painting of our dog, Archie, from a photo I took of him in early morning light. It is soft pastel on UArt400 paper. I walk him most mornings and waited all summer to catch him being quiet so I could get the shot I wanted. He was concentrating on the antics of a squirrel. I look for the play of light on animals fur. The challenge for me was to make this look like morning.
