Good Morning

This is soft pastels and I used a photo I had of Lake Michigan in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. The softness and quiet of the lake scene is what prompted me to paint the image. My focus was on capturing the stillness and softness within the moving clouds and water. The beautiful combination of light, darkness, and movement was my focus. The title emerged as a very good way to start the day and I call it, "Good Morning."
