Blue

"Blue," the gendered color for boys, is a contemplation of the limited roles available to males in Western society. A young boy, shirtless, plays with toy tools while the color of his gender looms large above him through a narrow doorway. The model is my son who after 5 months of quarantine had grown log and shaggy hair, much like mine was at this age in the late 1970s.
