Slice of Light

My daily walks takes me through a bit of woods. I remember it feeling so cool compared to the heat of the open fields. This fir tree glowed with just a touch of sunlight peeking through. I used various soft pastels on a prepared a birch panel I prepared with clear gesso and pastel ground .
