On a bright sunny day I stood in the water in the bay and took photo after photo of the water coming in across the rocks. I didn't think I had anything to work with, but later I found among the images, this gorgeous combination of colors and layout, and saw in there one rock (the teal and orange one in the lower left) that I've never seen before. The colors, and composition, along with the way the light played across them from the water was irresistible. At first I though it was technically beyond my skill level, but then I decided to give it a shot and see what I could do. It would evolve into what I now regard as the finest piece I have done to date--certainly my favorite!
