Winter Sycamore

Golden winter leaves shimmer around the mottled bark of this old sycamore expressively stretching near to the ground. Clear winter blue sky penetrates through the leaves. The already fallen leaves are reddish and crisp.The branches arch towards the sky and complete the circle reaching back to the earth. Was great to work plein air on this piece on tan La Carte sand paper and finish it in the studio.
