Enchanted Forest

Enchanted Forest is based on a photo I took of my nephew and parents walking along a path in the Enchanted Forest park in Titusville FL. I made a preliminary sketch on sketch paper, changing the placement of the background tree slightly. I then drew the main features of the painting with a rust red hard pastel on a white sanded surface and used a brush to cover all of the surface with that color. I then layered pastels until it was just right!
