Wild Branch on a Saturday Morning

I'm not often motivated enough to get out and about to capture early morning light but one Saturday morning I wanted to get photos of a scene that a friend had requested a painting of. About half a mile from my house is a small river known as the Wild Branch and I drove to a spot where the river is crossed by a bridge on a dirt road. Looking in one direction is a farm field, which was the original object of my jaunt. But when I turned to look in the other direction I saw the early light coming over the trees and through the fog. What a beautiful surprise, and a reward for getting up early.
