Cornfield

This sweet little painting was created as a series of plein air paintings I did while standing in the middle of a cornfield. I was inspired by the sheer beauty of nature & the joy of being in the midst of it. I used only large sticks of Sennelier soft pastel on a yellow ochre pastel paper. Beginning in the top left corner I added marks as I worked down to the bottom right hand corner, allowing parts of the paper to show through representing the earth.
