Life of the Party

The inspiration for this soft pastel painting came from a series of photographs I had taken of some beautiful flowers in vases with the late afternoon sun streaming through the windows & highlighting the blooms. Being right handed I always begin in the top left corner & work down towards the bottom right had corner, completing each part as I move through the painting. I fix the painting with Lascaux fixative before having it framed behind museum glass.
