My painting was inspired by a beautiful photograph taken by my sister of her Bird of Paradise plant in her garden. With her permission granted to paint the photo I used Pastelmat Anthracite paper. My process was to sketch loosely from the photo then used my imagination to reinterpret the beautiful flower.
