Where Locals Go

I discovered the reference photo while organizing old photos, and the minute I saw it I realized it had painted itself. I’m not sure if it represents a stream in my old home or my new one, and I’m not sure the exact place is what it’s about. We all have secret places known only to locals. I painted this on pastel mat, my new love, and a mix of Rembrandt, Pan Pastels, Unison and Senelier soft pastels.
