We were so lucky to have traveled to South Africa and Namibia in the fall of 2019 before Covid 19 halted travel around the world. I loved the new cultures and the beautiful people we were able to meet. This lovely young woman is a member of the Himba tribe of Northern Namibia. I met her when we stopped to buy some local products at a roadside stand. I knew I wanted to try to paint the quiet beauty and poise she represented.
