Living Jewel

This colorful little Beta fish is a work done completely in soft pastels. He is one of my favorites because of the amount of the different emotional responses he draws from his viewers. His colors give him a sense of playfulness and light hearted energy. If one examines him closer though, they can see his tranquility and the way he lets the water flow through his partially translucent tail. He floats amid a world of darkness being a lovely reminder that beauty can be found even there, if one knows where to look.
